Please Note: Renters are directed and advised not to leave the dock or ramp until they are satisfied and feel competent in its operation.
Any service call for not start or operation with is a result of operator error with be assessed a charge at normal shop service rate.
Discounts and/or extended time will not be granted if the renter is not ready on time.

Q: Is there a security deposit taken for a boat rental?

A: A security deposit is taken at the time of boat rental. The deposit is refunded to the renter at the end of the period pending there has been no damage caused to the boat by the renter.

Q: Does a trailer come with my boat rental?

A: No. Insurance restrictions may allow limited boat trailers to be provided with rental boats. Some exceptions may apply.
Q: Will Huntsville Marine deliver my boat rental?

A: Huntsville Marine will deliver within a 1 hour radius from our location. Rental charges apply to all deliveries.
Q: I am renting a cottage in Muskoka. Can the rental boat be delivered to my cottage?

A: If you are renting a cottage, you must make sure that adequate launch ramp facilities are in place. Your cottage rental agent should know this or you make inquire with us as to whether a suitable ramp is available.
Q: Who pays for the gas in my boat rental?

A: Renters will pay for the gas and oil they have used while they are boating. The boats leave with a full tank and the renter is responsible for paying the oil and gas they have used.
Q: Does a boats maximum capacity include children passengers?

A: Children count as a person. Therefore when the max capacity states 3 persons, this means 3 bodies in TOTAL in the boat.
Q: Is there a training session involved when renting a boat from Huntsville Marine?

A: Our rental staff will go over the boat with the renter before and after their boat rental period. This insures that the renter will know how to operate the boat as well as inspect any damages that may have been caused during the rental period.

Q: How many people can drive the rental boat?

A: For insurance and safety purposes, we require that there will only be a maximum of two operators of the boat during your rental period.
Q: Do you rent water toys?

A: For insurance and safety purposes, we no longer rent water toys and water sports equipment.

Payment

Huntsville Marine accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express or cash. A credit card is required for all boat rental damage deposits.

All reserved boat rentals will be charged in full on the date of booking. We offer a 21 day cancelation policy. A cancelation fee of 5% of the overall rental cost will be taken at the time of cancelation.

Credit Card and Photo ID must be presented prior to the start of the rental period.

Please note: If you are using another family member's credit card, a completed, signed authorization sheet is required, plus a matching photo ID for the cardholder.
